The Bellbird Preschool team would like to welcome your family to our community preschool .

 

Bellbird Preschool was established in 1987 to educate children from the areas of Bellbird & Bellbird Heights Paxton, Ellalong, Millfield, Wollombi & Congewai. We are a licensed Community Based Preschool in a rural & peaceful setting.

 

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF = belonging, being & becoming) complimented by a relaxed environment, rich in natural resources of flora & fauna for children to explore in a play based setting. 

 

We are a Not for Profit organisation, this means every dollar that comes in, is spent on the children and educational program.

 

The children have the opportunity to learn through play.

Educators observe children & guide their interactions collaboratively to gain educational value from the experiences provided. We view the environment as the third teacher.

School readiness is present in all areas of our educational program and everyday routines are planned to support the children's learning and preparation for school.  Our flexible program allows extensive opportunities for children to facilitate and construct their own learning in both the indoor and outdoor environments. We provide a unique balance between school readiness and allowing children to just 'be children'.

The committed staff of Bellbird Preschool work in collaboration with external support services to provide the best possible learning opportunities for the children in our care. We have a speech pathologist that provides support to children in need during preschool hours, fully funded by the preschool to ensure it is accessible to all families.

HOURS OF OPERATION 

Educator’s hours:     8.00am to 4:00pm

Children’s hours      8:15am to 4:00pm

 

DAYS OF OPERATION

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday during NSW school terms only

 

NUMBER OF PLACINGS AVAILABLE

We have a maximum of 30 children each day- aged 3-5 years.
